About Me

I am Cathy, a full spectrum doula, breastfeeding consultant, a mother with 19 years of experience, a professional cook and baker, an amateur sourdough bread nerd, a 3-time published author, a once upon a time all-the-time-working-actress and now, hopefully, your postpartum doula.

Why I Became a Postpartum Doula
I was drawn to postpartum doula work because new parents need support. Spending time with a newborn is intimate and profoundly isolating. Birth work also allows me to do what I think is deeply political work: addressing the lack of maternal care in this country.

My great grandmother died in childbirth. So did my cousin and my husband’s cousin. I do what I do for them.
